Alek Belakov is a fashion photographer based in New York City.

Alek was born in the Ukraine. His fashion photography career first took off in the early
90's when he became part of a great creative team. After initial success working for
a modeling agency, he was noticed by the editor of a prominent Ukrainian fashion magazine and was given his first cover. He worked for the magazine for several years, shooting covers and editorials.

Alek's work won top awards at "Advertisement, Print and Information" advertising competition two years in a row and he participated in subsequent exhibitions.

Alek currently lives in New York City and works for variety of clients including: Lacoste, DKNY, Ben Sherman, Playboy, Oscar de La Renta, Sean John, Sergio Rossi, Dereon, Judith Leiber, JLO, JustSweet, Baby Phat, Rocawear, VINCE, XOXO, KLS, Mandee, RAFE, ABS by Allen Schwartz, Yank, Phat Farm, ANASTASIA, Apple Bottom
